1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
2. Purpose of the App
The App is designed as a guideline to assist users in, but not limited to, creating and designing box configurations for car audio systems, calculating electrical system layouts, amplifier tuning, and diagnostics. All information, calculations, and recommendations provided by the App are for informational purposes only and are not guaranteed to be error-free or entirely accurate.
3. No Liability Disclaimer
Xplicit Tech Solutions is not responsible for:
- Miscalculations or errors in box dimensions, designs, or configurations.
- Any materials wasted, including wood, or additional costs incurred due to inaccuracies or misunderstandings of the information provided by the App.
- Any damage to vehicles, equipment, or personal property resulting from the implementation of the App’s recommendations.
Users are advised to independently verify all calculations and measurements before proceeding with cutting, building, or implementing designs.
4. User Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the user to:
- Double-check all inputs and outputs provided by the App.
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations and safety standards.
- Use professional judgment or consult a qualified expert when implementing any design created using the App.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Xplicit Tech Solutions does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Xplicit Tech Solutions and its affiliates, partners, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of materials, project delays, property damage, or loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the App. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App.
7. User Accounts
When you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You retain ownership of any designs, photos, and other data you create using the App. By saving data to our servers, you grant Xplicit Tech Solutions a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that data for the purpose of providing the App’s functionality. When you make profile fields public or publish a saved design, you additionally grant us a license to display that content to other users of the App and to visitors of caraudioapp.com until you change the relevant privacy setting, unpublish the design, or delete your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for violation of these terms.
8. Subscriptions & Billing
UCAA Pro, Shop Pro, and Brand Pro are paid subscription tiers billed on a recurring basis through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). By subscribing, you authorize the applicable platform to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current paid period after cancellation, after which your account reverts to the free tier.
9. Pro Seat Grants
Shop Pro and Brand Pro subscribers may grant UCAA Pro access to a limited number of other users (“grantees”) as specified by their plan. Pro seat grants are:
- A benefit of the subscriber’s active paid plan, not a separate subscription or independent entitlement.
- Revocable at any time by the subscriber or by Xplicit Tech Solutions.
- Automatically suspended if the granting subscription lapses, and reactivated if the subscription resumes.
- Non-transferable and carry no independent monetary value.
Grantees acknowledge that their Pro access depends entirely on the grantor’s active subscription. Xplicit Tech Solutions is not liable for any loss of access resulting from a grantor’s subscription cancellation, modification, or account action.
10. Third-Party Content
The App may display content from third-party sources, including but not limited to industry news articles, RSS feeds, and external links. This content is provided for informational purposes only. Xplicit Tech Solutions does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, and is not liable for any claims, damages, or losses arising from your reliance on such content.
11. Privacy & Data Collection
We collect and process the following types of data:
- Account data: Email address, name, and profile information you provide when registering.
- User-generated data: Saved box designs, calculator configurations, tone-generator presets, submitted events, organization profiles, RSVPs, reviews, uploaded photos, and other content you create or save in the App.
- Public profile data: When you choose to make profile fields visible to the public or to other users, that information (such as your username, display name, bio, location, avatar, social media handles, achievement progress, and statistics) becomes viewable at caraudioapp.com/u/<your-username> and inside the App by other users. You control the visibility of each field through the Settings → Profile & Privacy screen, and changes take effect immediately. Your unique username is always public when an account exists.
- Published designs: When you publish a saved box design, the design (including its name, dimensions, build notes, attached photos, linked subwoofer information, and a generated hero image) becomes publicly viewable at caraudioapp.com/d/<token> and on your public profile. Other users may save a copy of a published design to their own library, which copies any attached photos into their account’s storage. Unpublishing a design removes it from public view and permanently invalidates its share URL; republishing later generates a new URL.
- Content reports: When you submit a report through the App’s reporting tools, your account is associated with the report so moderators can review and respond. We use reports to enforce these Terms and remove content that violates them.
- Event RSVPs: When you RSVP to an event, the event’s organizer can see that you RSVP’d regardless of your public-attendee privacy setting. Your privacy toggle only controls whether other attendees see your name on the public attendee list.
- Service Connection submissions: When you submit a repair request or similar inquiry to a listed service provider (such as an amplifier repair tech), the contact information you choose to share (name, email, phone), the device you describe, photos you attach, and any notes are transmitted to that provider via in-app notification and email, and are stored in the App’s inbox for that provider to review.
- Analytics data: Anonymous usage data such as screen views and feature usage, collected via a third-party analytics provider to help us improve the App.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data is shared only with service providers necessary to operate the App, including cloud database and storage providers, analytics providers, subscription and payment processors, and mobile advertising networks. 12. Account Deletion
You may permanently delete your account at any time from the Privacy & Security page within the App. Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. Upon deletion:
- Your profile, saved designs, supporter donations, and user statistics will be permanently removed.
- Any active Pro subscriptions should be cancelled separately through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account.
- Community-contributed data such as dyno test results and shop reviews may be retained in anonymized form to preserve the integrity of the database.
- Pages you own (shop or brand pages) may be removed or orphaned at our discretion.
13. Reviews & User-Submitted Content
Users may submit reviews and ratings for shop pages, events, organization profiles, published box designs, and other user-facing content within the App. By submitting any such content, you agree that:
- Submitted content is honest, lawful, and not fraudulent, misleading, defamatory, or infringing on the rights of any third party.
- You hold the rights to any photos, logos, flyers, or other media you upload, and you grant Xplicit Tech Solutions a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and moderate that content within the App.
- You may edit your submitted content at any time to keep it accurate. Material changes to events may trigger an admin re-review before they become publicly visible again.
- Xplicit Tech Solutions reserves the right to remove, edit, hide, unpublish, or refuse any user-submitted content at its sole discretion — including content that is reported by other users, contains inappropriate material, or violates these terms.
- Shop owners may respond to reviews but may not manipulate, incentivize, or coerce review content.
- Event organizers may cancel events they have posted; cancelling an active event may notify users who have RSVP’d. Free accounts are limited to one active event at a time, while Pro accounts can post unlimited events.
- When posting on behalf of a shop, brand, or organization page, the page (and its owner or assigned team members) is treated as the publisher of that content and is responsible for compliance with these terms.
- When you publish a saved box design, other users may save a copy of that design — including attached photos — into their own library. You retain ownership of your design, but you grant other users a personal-use license to view and save your published designs while they remain published. Unpublishing removes the design from public view and invalidates its share URL going forward.
- Reports submitted through the in-app reporting tools are associated with your account so moderators can review them. Abuse of the reporting tools (e.g., mass-reporting or harassment) may result in account suspension.
- Repair requests and other Service Connection submissions are private communications between you and a listed service provider and are governed by Section 14, not by the public-content rules in this section.
14. Service Connections (Repair Requests & Tech Directories)
The App includes directories of third-party service providers (such as amplifier repair technicians) and tools that let you contact those providers directly (“Service Connections”). When you use Service Connections, you agree that:
- Xplicit Tech Solutions is not a party to any transaction, communication, or service performed between you and a third-party provider. We do not employ, vet, certify, endorse, or guarantee any listed provider, their qualifications, their pricing, or the quality, timing, or outcome of any work they perform.
- When you submit a repair request or similar inquiry, the information you provide — including your name, email address, phone number, the device you describe, photos you attach, and any notes — is transmitted to the page owner you selected via in-app notification and email. You consent to this disclosure and acknowledge that once transmitted, the receiving provider controls their own use of that information subject to their own privacy practices.
- Service providers listed in the App are responsible for the accuracy of their listing, the lawfulness of services they offer, and their compliance with applicable laws (including any required licenses, insurance, or registrations in their jurisdiction). Xplicit Tech Solutions does not verify these.
- Disputes regarding service quality, turnaround time, payment, shipping, lost or damaged property, refunds, or any other matter arising from a connection made via the App are solely between you and the service provider. Xplicit Tech Solutions has no obligation to mediate, intervene, or refund any payments, and you release us from any claims, demands, or damages arising out of any such dispute.
- We reserve the right to remove any listing, refuse or block any inquiry, ban users or providers, and limit the volume or content of communications at our sole discretion — including to prevent spam, abuse, harassment, or violations of these terms. Rate limits may apply.
- Inquiry records (including submitted text and attached photos) are retained for as long as the listing exists or until the requesting user deletes their account, whichever comes first. The listed provider may export, save, or otherwise retain the contact information you provided for their own legitimate business purposes; their handling of that information after transmission is governed by their own privacy practices.
15. Safety Precautions
Users are advised to exercise caution when working with electrical systems and power tools. Always follow safety guidelines, use proper protective equipment, and consult a professional if unsure about any procedures.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Xplicit Tech Solutions and its affiliates, officers, and employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
17. Updates and Modifications
Xplicit Tech Solutions reserves the right to update or modify the App and these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify users through an in-app prompt requiring re-acceptance. Continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
18. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of the App shall be resolved exclusively in the state and federal courts located in New York, New York.
